Privacy Policy

Cocreo ("we") respects your privacy in Hoken Guide, a multilingual guide to Japanese insurance for foreign residents (iOS, Android and web; "the app"). The app has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or behaviour tracking.

The app stores only the following on your device (in your browser for the web version):

• The display language you chose
• Your display theme, such as light or dark
• Which checklist steps you have completed

None of this is sent to our servers. It is removed when you delete the app (or clear site data for the web version).

• Articles, the glossary and checklists are bundled in the app. Reading them does not connect to our servers.
• When you open a link, such as a source or the Cocreo website, it opens in your device's browser. The linked site receives normal web access information such as your IP address and browser details, and handles it under its own policy.
• When you use the web version, the hosting provider may process standard access logs (IP address, user agent, time of access) for security and troubleshooting.

Tapping "Contact" or "Report a problem with this article" opens your mail app with the address and subject filled in. An article report also pre-fills the article identifier, your selected language and your device type (such as iOS or Android). Nothing is sent until you press send. We use emails we receive only to reply and to improve the articles. Please do not include sensitive personal information such as your Residence Card number or medical history.

We do not share user information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law. The app does not show advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
